HawaiiKidsCAN Hosts Their Student-Led Candidate Forum

HONOLULU (HI Now) – After HawaiiKidsCAN’s successful student-led candidate forum for top Democratic candidates for governor on June 13, the local nonprofit is hosting a similar forum for candidates on the Republican side: Gary Cordery, BJ Penn, and Heidi Tsuneyoshi. The HawaiiKidsCAN Candidate Forum will air on June 27 from 7-7:30pm on K5 for the premiere, and June 30 from 7-7:30pm for the re-run. You can watch the forum on KFVE-TV.
The forum will also stream live at hawaiinewsnow.com/hawaiikidscan. The forum was organized by HawaiiKidsCAN, a local nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on building an equitable education system for all keiki, while empowering students to speak up and get involved.
